PDPMV1 Compatibility Notice to PDPM Users

The PDPMV1 product is not backward compatible with the PDPM product due to new enhancements and command structure. The PDPMV1 DPV1 master gateway product provides enhanced features to the PDPM DPV0 gateway product as follows:

  1. Increased Cyclic IO. The DPPMV1 provides 768 Words of Input and 768 Words of Output.
  2. ProSoft Configuration Builder (PCB) complete support. The PCB provides module level configuration and integrated PROFIBUS master network configuration support.
  3. The PDPMV1 master supports DPV1 Class 1 or Class 2 DPV1 features such as: Acyclic communication with slaves for parameterization and other slave settings, Alarm handling, extended diagnostics.

PROFIBUS Master for Modicon Modbus TCP/IP

Automating integration for Schneider Electric® (SE) Modicon® processors and maximizing ease-of-use are the hallmark design criteria behind the new ProLinx® SE line of communication gateways. The first SE gateway, the 5204SE-MNET-PDPMV1 Modbus TCP/IP to PROFIBUS DP-V1 Master gateway, easily turns a Modicon M340™ Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) into a PROFIBUS DP-V1 Master. The new Application Communication Logic functions built into ProSoft Configuration Builder (PCB) automatically generate all the Unity™ Pro data types, variables, and logic required for the M340 to perform PROFIBUS DP-V1 cyclic and acyclic communication.

PCB automatically generates customized export files based on the gateway's PROFIBUS DP network configuration. These files import into Unity Pro version 4 software without modification, eliminating the need to write additional communications message logic.

Automatically-generated Derived Function Block logic also provides advanced PROFIBUS DP-V1 acyclic message pass-through capability. Acyclic messaging allows an M340 to request extended slave data and diagnostics, as well as access slave-specific special functions.

Whenever the PROFIBUS DP network configuration changes, new logic files can be automatically created, exported, and imported into an existing project, reducing engineering demands and cutting deployment time.

EtherNet/IP to PROFIBUS DPV1 Master Gateway

The ProLinx EtherNet/IP to PROFIBUS DPV1 Master Gateway creates a powerful connection between devices on an EtherNet/IP network and a PROFIBUS slave device. This stand-alone DIN-rail mounted protocol gateway provides one Ethernet port and PROFIBUS DP Master configurable DB9F port.

Modbus TCP/IP to PROFIBUS DPV1 Master Communication Module

The MNET-PDPMV1 modules are the ideal solution for the many applications where Modbus TCP/IP connectivity can be used to integrate a PROFIBUS DP slave device into a system.

Modbus Plus to PROFIBUS DPV1 Master Communication Module

The ProLinx family Modbus Plus to PROFIBUS DPV1 Master communications module creates a powerful connection between devices on a Modbus Plus network and a PROFIBUS slave device. The module is a stand-alone DIN-rail mounted protocol gateway that provides one Modbus Plus configurable DB9F port and one PROFIBUS DPV1 Master configurable DB9F port.

A-B Remote I/O Adapter to PROFIBUS DP-V1 Master Gateway

The ProLinx® family Allen Bradley Remote I/O Adapter to PROFIBUS DPV1 Master communications module (5604-RIO-PDPMV1) creates a powerful connection between devices on a Remote I/O network and PROFIBUS slave devices. The module is a stand-alone DIN-rail mounted protocol gateway that provides one Remote I/O port and a PROFIBUS DPV1 Master with a RS-485 9-pin D shell female connector interface with isolated Opto-Couplers.
