The MVI56-FLN FA Control Network communication module is a single slot solution that allows Allen-Bradley ControlLogix I/O compatible processors to easily interface with other FL-net protocol compatible devices.The module implements FL-net version 2.00 (OPCN-2) defined by JEMA (The Japan Electrical Manufacturers Association) for the standard FA control network. FL-net is a master-less system and is specified for a 50 ms cycle time for 32 nodes and up to 254 nodes can be addressed.

Take advantage of the new features in Version 1
All RadioLinx Industrial Hotspots™ can easily be upgraded to take advantage of these features. To upgrade your existing radios just download Version 2 firmware to any radios you may already have, even if they are currently installed in your network. Upgrades can be done simply over-the-air and the radios will maintain all of the configurations that you have programmed into them before.

Continue to use your existing functionality in Version 2
If you would prefer to avoid adding these features to your network you may also continue to use your existing system as is and make all new radios compatible with the existing network. All new radios shipped from ProSoft contain Version 2 firmware. To revert to Version 1, simply download Version 1 into any new radios you add to the network.
